SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of transmitting data and can be used in systems for transmitting data over packet communication networks. In the method of transmitting source data, a data transmission frame contains information needed to adapt a packet data protocol used by the transmitting side to change the state of the channel of the communication network. At that, adaptability ensures elimination of initial data losses that leads to exclusion of interrogations in connection with losses of initial data from the receiving side. Instead of request data re-requesting at the receiving side, the damaged initial data are restored using information on initial data and information on parameters of the packet data protocol.

EFFECT: providing guaranteed transfer of source data over packet communication networks with low-speed communication channels and/or low quality of connection of communication channels.
