SUBSTANCE: hydroponic growing system contains an elongated chute. Groove (10) contains at least the first lateral wall (34), the opposite second side wall (36) and lower wall (60), which all pass in the longitudinal direction of the chute and limit the space in the centre of the chute, which is opened at the top. Chute (10) comprises partition wall structure (20) extending in the chute lengthwise direction and dividing said central space into two adjacent elongated grooves (12, 14), which are open at the top and in each of which one or more substrates (74, 76) for growing plants (72). Separating wall structure (20) comprises elongated channel (22) for excessive flow passing in chute (10) longitudinal direction and directing irrigation water past grooves (12, 14).
EFFECT: technical result is improved control of excessive flow of irrigation water when growing plants of different sizes in the same chute.
