FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves using apparatus having two inclined string-type supports 2 arranged in parallel and multiple-trough device hung to supports 2 and made in the form of sheets 1,3,4 of different width arranged one above the other so as to define dihedrons of different angles and having common opening; forming plurality of equally spaced holes along middle line of top sheet 1 for providing growing of plants through said openings; leaving sheet 3 free of holes for forming plurality of paths in multiple-trough device for cascade discharge of fertilizer solution; providing holes in intermediate sheet or sheets 4, with number of holes being equal to that of holes 6 in sheet 1. Holes in sheet 4 are arranged stepwise and in offset relation one with respect to another. Method and apparatus allow plants to be cultivated without use of substrate. EFFECT: simplified method and construction and reduced labor consumption. 5 cl, 3 dwg
