SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrode head for an electrolysis installation comprising an electrode rod to which an electrode can be attached; loading facilities of head attached to rod for movement of head attached to electrode by means of crane of plant; it differs from known designs in that it comprises coating on rod with varying thickness in rod longitudinal direction to ensure stopping or adjustment of loading facilities and/or additional element. Invention also relates to an electrode unit.
EFFECT: disclosed electrode head provides safe fixation of loading facility or other additional element on electrolysis rod without necessity to use additional methods of fastening, such as welding.
