SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing high-purity menthyl nicotinate, which includes a re-esterification reaction of menthol with C1-C4-alkyl ester of nicotinic acid in the presence of an alkaline catalyst belonging to the class of linear or branched C1-C4-alkoxides, and distillation of reaction product mixture in vacuum in presence of activated carbon.
EFFECT: high yield of obtained high-purity menthyl nicotinate.
