SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to veterinary medicine. Disclosed are a method of increasing hemoglobin (Hb) concentration in blood in a pregnant non-human mammal having blood Hb ≤ 105 g/l, method for reducing the rate of stillbirth of offspring from pregnant non-human mammals having blood Hb ≤ 105 g/l, a method for increasing blood Hb blood concentration for 3 days from birth and/or when growing, all said methods include parenteral introduction of one or more doses of iron-carbohydrate complex in amount of 1800 mg or more of elementary iron per dose; presented is also a version of the method for increasing blood Hb concentration in offspring for 3 days from birth and/or rearing, where a pregnant non-human mammal, having blood Hb ≤ 105 g/l, administering one or more doses of the iron-carbohydrate complex, wherein the amount of elemental iron is 200 mg or more per dose.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the implementation of the declared applications by intramuscular injection of 2,500 mg of iron (Uniferon) to pregnant pigs on 70^th and 84^th days of gestation, wherein blood Hb in anemic pregnant pigs increased by 1,4 g/l, and treatment of pigs with blood Hb > 105 g/l was ineffective.
