FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention generally relates to in-flight entertainment systems and to control units for them, and more specifically to controllers, which are connected to armrests of individual passenger seats. Remote control system of in-flight entertainment system comprises a control unit, having a generally flat configuration. Control unit has side with game control elements, opposite side with keyboard and segment of upper face between side with game control elements and side with keyboard. Dock is installed in design of passenger seat and limits open socket, in which control unit is inserted. Dock sets the axis of insert, which essentially lies in one plane with remote control unit, if it is oriented for installation. Top face segment is open while side with game control elements and side with keyboard are hidden when control unit is in retracted position.
