FIELD: ground cleaning; ecology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental protection, in particular to cleaning of soil contaminated with various organic and inorganic contaminants (heavy metals, oil products), and can be used for detoxification of various types of soils (man-caused contaminated soil, sewage sludge, etc.) containing different types of pollutants with different concentration. Objective of the proposed invention is development of technology of detoxification of soil from oil and heavy metals using multicomponent sorbent containing wool and clayey gypsum. Method of cleaning soil using wastes of sheep wool and clay gypsum, pre-dried at room temperature and milled for development of porous structure of sorbent and treated with sulfuric acid with concentration of 3 %, providing effective soil cleaning from oil and oil products, but differing by the fact that it has high degree of soil cleaning from heavy metals when soil is mixed with sorbents to a given residual concentration of pollutants, before adding the sorbent to soil, determining the level of contamination and further measurements of concentrations of pollutants when mixing soil and sorbent in ratio: 3:1, 2:1, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, after which weight of sorbent required for soil purification to preset concentration is determined.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method for detoxifying soil using natural sorbents.
