SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mobile communication. Method for providing a data link between one or more high-frequency transmission points (TP) and user equipment (UE) in a wireless network includes receiving, by a UE, a macro from a heterogeneous wireless network, wherein the assignment includes a set of defined UE reference signals mapped to one or more downlink high frequency transmission beams TP. UE identifies each of downlink beams of one or more TP high-frequency transmission by detecting UE-defined reference signals transmitted in each of one or more downlink beams TP. UE measures the quality of each of the one or more downlink beams TP and selects the selected beam from one or more downlink beams TP based on quality. UE using the selected beam establishes a data transmission channel with a high-frequency transmission TP which transmitted the selected beam.
EFFECT: enabling the UE to be directly attached to the required TP.
