FIELD: antenna equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna engineering, in particular to the formation of a beam pattern of a digital antenna array for determining the location of radio-frequency sources. According to the invention, according to the signals at the output of the real aperture channels, the period X̂' of the low-frequency spatial oscillations of the quadrature signal components is estimated, the quadrature components of the signals are further determined on the interval corresponding to the found period X̂', quadrature components of the Fourier transform coefficients in the interval X̂' are found to determine the quadrature components of the signals at the outputs of the virtual aperture channels by inverse Fourier transform using the calculated Fourier coefficients, estimating direction finding of the virtual aperture on the formed beam pattern, if necessary reducing side components, when forming is used weight coefficients of falling amplitude distribution or multiplication of directivity pattern of real aperture in form of weight sum of signals at output of real aperture and a virtual aperture diagram obtained by weight summation of signals from virtual aperture channel outputs.
EFFECT: increased angular sector, in which angular positions of signal sources are distinguished.
