FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: formation of same-name partial beams of multi-beam directional pattern of a digital array of complex digital signals of virtual aperture channels is made of appropriate complex digital signals of real aperture channels by delays in time. The amount of time delays in the same-name partial beams is a priori defined by the stroke difference of wave phase fronts between the real and virtual aperture channels, involved in the formation of the respective channels of virtual aperture channels.
EFFECT: achievement of angular super resolution and measurement accuracy of angular coordinates defined by the sum of the real aperture of the digital antenna array and by the synthesized virtual, at random location of group target elements with different RCS and different position of DP.
