FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas industry and can be used in creation of systems for reduction of natural gas pressure. Method of reducing pressure of natural gas includes separation of gas from main gas line into high-speed and low-speed high-pressure flows. Pressure of high-speed flow is reduced at swirling, acceleration in nozzle, flow with friction, heat exchange and pressure gradient in channel and braking in diffuser. Main gas is directed into the channel with low-speed flow, is used to create a temperature head on the heat-conducting dividing partition and is directed to the booster compressor station for further transportation. Heated reduced gas is discharged to gas-distributing station for further smooth control and further to consumer.

EFFECT: technical result is creation of universal and economic method of reduction of natural gas pressure without application of fire heating and additional systems of cold recycling.
