FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely otorhinolaryngology, and can be used in treating one-sided paralysis of throat muscles. A needle for spinal anesthesia is used to puncture the thyroarytenoid membrane under the control of a flexible fibroscope, which is introduced through the patient's nose until the vocal folds and the throat are found. Using same needle 2–3 mm from the front edge of the paralyzed vocal fold, a posterior third of the vocal fold is pierced to depth of 1–3 mm and 0.5–1.0 ml of the preparation containing cross-linked high-density hyaluronic acid is gradually introduced.
EFFECT: method enables providing higher clinical effectiveness and reducing the risk of local complications and side effects ensured by fast medialization of the vocal fold, as well as by the endoscopic control procedure.
