SUBSTANCE: invention relates to encoding and decoding audio signals. Decoding method involves receiving a wave-coded signal having a spectral composition corresponding to a subset of the frequency band above the transition frequency. Wave-coded signal is interleaved with parametric high-frequency reconstruction of the audio signal above the transition frequency.
EFFECT: improved reconstruction of high-frequency bands of an audio signal.
