FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigational instrument making and can be used in navigation systems of sea, air and ground objects. For this purpose, the small-size adaptive course curator comprises a three-component unit of angular velocity sensors, a three-component unit of linear acceleration sensors, a computing unit, a three-component magnetometric sensor (TMS), unit for determining and writing off magnetic deviation, unit of air pressure sensors, unit for determining air speed, differentiating and filtering unit, unit for optimizing filter coefficients. Small-size adaptive course curator can be used both on highly manoeuvrable and low manoeuvrable aircrafts. Increase in accuracy of determination of true heading is achieved by writing off deviation in flight and constant adaptive correction of angles of roll and pitch by signals of accelerometers, as well as optimization of filtration coefficients depending on turbulence and adjustment on multiple training sequences. TMS deviation can be cancelled periodically if there is no replacement of aircraft on-board and outboard equipment. Attitude-and-heading reference system allows using angular velocity and linear acceleration sensors of medium and low accuracy, including micromechanical type.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of strap down inertial navigation system (SDINS) based on continuous correction of course-turn, including in manoeuvre.
