SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of transport, namely to the components intended for improvement of functionality and reliability of operation of units, parts of transmission, steering control and braking system of a wheeled vehicle in off-road conditions. Invention can be used for conversion of a common car or a car with a trailer into a cross-country complex having normal standard "transport position" and "cross-country position" with a control system by means of braking. Removable device for backup of regular drive of steering wheel of wheeled vehicle comprises attachment means on steering gearbox and drive cables, is configured to act on backup braking mechanisms such that when steering wheel is turned to the left/right, left/right backup brakes are actuated, respectively. Attachments are a lever-toothed mechanism fixed on the steering gear, to which ends of drive cables are attached. Opposite ends of cables go to backup braking mechanisms attached to axes of wheel hubs and power frame. Said load-bearing frame has attachment means to axles of wheel hubs and wheeled vehicle body. Wheeled vehicle comprises power frame, which is a portable wheel arch with means of attachment to axis of wheel hubs and body of wheeled vehicle, outer lining and backup braking mechanism. Said backup braking mechanism is attached to said axes of hubs and power frame.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify installation of detachable backup device of regular drive of steering wheel vehicle and ensure its reliable operation.
