FIELD: handheld cutting tools.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to folding knives. Folding knife comprises a blade having a sharpened part, a shank and a handle. Handle consists of two or more parts forming a recess together with a blade. Blade has working sharpened part and shank, rotates from closed position, in which working sharpened part of blade is in said recess in handle, to open position, where working sharpened part of blade protrudes from handle. Blade shank has ledge-step and rounded ledge. Locking pin limits movement of the blade from the closed position to the completely opened one. Folding knife also contains a locking element rotating from the first position, allowing the blade to rotate, in the second position locking the blade rotation due to engagement with one of the ledges of the blade shank. Engagement of the locking element with the ledge-step of the shank blocks the blade in the open position. Engagement of the locking element with the rounded ledge of the shank retains the blade in the closed position.

EFFECT: technical result is improved reliability of structure and convenience for user during operation of folding knife.
