FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and apparatus for generating a color QR code from face images. Method comprises analyzing an input color image of a face within which an original face image size is determined and its correction is performed, generating biometric information – coordinates of antropometric points of the face, brightness values of the face image in said coordinates and (optionally) other morphometric data of the face image, two original messages with a biometric message and one message-original with document information, based on said original messages, generating three half-tone QR codes, wherein an original color QR code with a PIP structure is formed by replacing the input color image component G by a halftone QR code with document information, then QR-codes with biometric information are embedded in place of LSB-layers of components R and B of formed QR-code with PIP structure.
EFFECT: technical result is improved representation of facial information in color QR-codes.
