SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a volume equalizer controller and a sound classification method. In one embodiment, the volume equalizer controller comprises an audio content classifier for identifying the type of content of the audio signal in real time and an adjustment unit for adjusting the volume equalizer in continuous mode depending on the identified type of content. Control unit may be configured to positively correlate the dynamic gain of the volume equalizer with the types of informative content of the audio signal and negatively correlate the dynamic gain of the volume equalizer with the types of interfering content of the audio signal.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing adjustment in continuous mode.
