FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to fractionation of crude tall oil and / or other material based on biomass, and more specifically to tar separation of crude oil and / or other material based on biomass. Method of biomass-based material fractionation involves evaporating a biomass-based material evaporated part in a short-pass evaporator (SPE) to obtain an tar-free light fraction in a liquid form and a heavy pitch fraction, evaporation of material based on biomass in a thin-film evaporator (TFE) to obtain a vapor fraction of an upper portion of TFE, containing at least organic acids and neutral organic components, and the TFE residue fraction, where the tar-free light fraction in the liquid form and the heavy pitch fraction are obtained by evaporation of the TFE residue fraction in the SPE; distillation in the distillation column of the vapor fraction of the upper part of TFE and the tar-free light fraction in liquid form to obtain a fraction of light organic acids and neutral organic components, a first fraction of heavy organic acids and neutral organic components in a liquid form and a second fraction of heavy organic acids and neutral organic components in a gaseous form.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of biomass-based material fractionation.
