FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of finely dispersed metal powders. Method includes feeding steel melt into vacuum chamber in cavitation mode with formation of foam structure, at that providing cooling of vacuum chamber bottom, steel melt is supplied through inlet hole with diameter Din=(4–10) mm, height of the vacuum chamber is selected from the condition of providing height of incidence of steel melt inside the vacuum chamber making at least 150xDvx, degree of deoxidation of the steel melt is not more than 100 g of aluminum per ton of steel melt.
EFFECT: invention allows broader functional capabilities of the technology of obtaining steel powders, simplifying it and improving the quality of the obtained powder in form of finest steel drops of a strictly spherical shape.
