SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Pick-up apparatus comprises pick-up section determining pick-up direction, pick-up plane and first lateral outer direction and containing frame and pick-up element. Frame has the first and the second lateral sides and forms an opening that together with the pick-up direction determines the picking area on the pick-up plane. Pick-up apparatus additionally comprises a collar divider adapted for separation of the root collar and comprising a movable dividing element having a longitudinal axis, outer and inner ends. Movable dividing element is configured to occupy the position of the collar separation, and in this position it is adapted to feed of the root crops located in the part of the collar outside the pick-up area to the pick-up area to enable their pick-up by the pick-up element. Outer end of the movable dividing element is located outside the first lateral side in the first lateral outer direction, and movable dividing element longitudinal axis is inclined relative to pick-up plane by inclination angle α making from 0° to 20°, preferably from 0° to 10°. Movable dividing element is made with the possibility of forming an inclined platform, due to the inclination angle α, in the separation position of the collar on the divided root of the root crop, inclined relative to the pick-up plane or a plane parallel to it and ensuring reception of root crops rolling down from the upper edge of the collar to the pick-up plane.

EFFECT: possibility to select harvested crop with width of collars exceeding maximum pick-up width.
