SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bearing system, namely to elastic load limiting system used in electric submersible pumps. Bearing system comprises a shaft, a first thrust crest and a second thrust crest spaced from each other in axial direction and connected to the shaft, wherein at least one of first and second abutment ridges is located inside housing, first bearing assembly located between first thrust crest and first side of second thrust crest, wherein the first bearing assembly is located near the first thrust crest, the second bearing assembly located near the second side opposite to the first side of the second thrust crest, fixed plate connected to housing and providing connection of second bearing assembly to housing, and resilient pressing mechanical component made with possibility of compression in direction of shaft axis under action of axial load, wherein the mechanical component is located between the first bearing unit and said plate and is connected to them.
