FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in caterpillar and wheeled machines, tractors and units on their basis, as well as engineering machines with various attachments, performing earth-moving, loading, transportation and other works in industrial and road construction in special conditions, requiring additional cooling of power compartment, as well as protection of operator and main machine units against bullets and fragments. Armored tractor with working equipment comprises cabin (1) with operator workplace (2), power compartment (3) limited by cowl with front grate (4), side walls (5 and 6), cover (7), air intake holes (8) for air supply into engine compartment, heat exchange hatch (9) with flap-mounted armored cover (10) on cowl panel cover (7) in front of cabin (1). There is possibility of fixed swinging of cover (10) upward and forward by angle (α), providing position of top edge of cover below the field of vision determined by β vertical angle of operator vision field (2), which is necessary for control of working equipment. Additionally, there is provision for limitation of the α angle of flap-mounted armored cover (10), as per the condition of safe ricochet of means (11) of damage from it to space in front of cabin (1), in compliance with geometric ratio: (H - b⋅tg (2⋅α – β))⋅(ℓ⋅sin α)^-1 ≥ 1, where H is elevation of upper front edge (12) of cabin (1) above cowl cover (7); b is distance between projections on cover (7) of upper leading edge (12) of cabin (1) and upper edge (13) of raised cover (10); ℓ is cover length (10).
