FIELD: electrical communication engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication technology and is intended for transmitting system information. Method includes: transmitting, during random access, random access message III, transmitting to a base station a system information request used to request system information, receiving random access message IV, carrying system information and transmitted by a base station; and reading system information from random access message IV. Invention eliminates problem related to non-productive consumption of alarm data caused by multiple broadcasting of system information base station to terminal using beam forming technology, and a problem associated with non-productive consumption of signalling data caused by transfer by the terminal to a base station of a separate system information request and response transmission by the base station to the terminal of separate system information.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in the alarm data saving efficiency.
