FIELD: compressors.
SUBSTANCE: example of a centrifugal compressor comprises a housing forming an inlet chamber and comprising first and second holes defining a recirculation channel which is hydraulically connected to the inlet chamber. Impeller is located inside the housing and can rotate about the longitudinal axis for suction of liquid into the inlet chamber. First and second holes are located in different axial positions along longitudinal axis. Plurality of inlet guide vanes are rotatable and located in inlet chamber. Centrifugal compressor comprises a ring and a controller designed to move the ring along the longitudinal axis between the first position and the second position at rotation of the inlet guide vanes. Ring closes at least one of the first and second holes, and is stronger in the second position than in the first position.
EFFECT: disclosed is centrifugal compressor with recirculation channel.
