FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: swirler (60) for mixing fuel with air in combustion engine (10) has central axis (63), swirler base (61) having upper surface (62), central part (64), a number of main swirling elements (65) and row preventing elements (66). Main swirl elements (65) and obstructing elements (66) are located on upper surface (62) of swirler base (61) and are arranged around central part (64). Main swirl elements (65) form a row of vortex slots (67) made with possibility to direct fluid medium to central part (64). Each vortex slot (67) has slit inlet (68) and slit outlet (69), wherein slot outlet (69) is located at smaller radial distance from central axis (63) than swirling inlet (68). Each obstacle element (66) is located at inlet (68) of slot and is made with possibility of formation of multiple channels of flow (70, 71) in vortex slot (67).

EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of fuel and air mixing characteristics.
