METHOD FOR COMPLEX ASSESSMENT AND VISUALIZATION OF PATIENT'S CONDITION DURING SEDATION AND GENERAL ANAESTHESIA Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2718544 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to anaesthesia, and aims at the integrated assessment and imaging of the patient's current state on the schematic diagram during sedation and general anaesthesia. Disclosed is a method for complex assessment and visualization of a patient's state during sedation and general anaesthesia, including analysis of electroencephalogram signals, electrocardiograms, oxygen content in blood, anaesthesia level by a limited number of parameters. Method comprises a step of introducing dynamic weight coefficients which depend on the current level of anaesthesia, EEG spectral components, sampling entropy (SampEn), burst-suppression ratio (BSR), signal quality, the current level of the neuromuscular block, rate of pulse changes and average arterial pressure. EEG spectral components, pulse wave characteristics, pressure, pulse, skin conductance dynamics are used, complex assessment of the patient's condition taking into account the parameters of central and peripheral haemodynamics, oxygen transport, sedation, nociception and neuromuscular blockade. Methods of eliminating artefacts using the ARX model are used. Patient's condition is visualized on the diagram.

EFFECT: invention provides higher accuracy and linearization of change in the level of anaesthesia in time, broader functionality and higher accuracy when measuring nociception, faster operation when assessing the level of sedation, as well as measuring nociception, faster decision-making by an anaesthesiologist.
