SUBSTANCE: invention relates to implemented by a processor methods of controlling a controlled device. In the method, a control area is formed, in which a program indicator is moved, wherein the coordinates of the indicator are recorded; setting two buttons of input device to activate control of first and second characteristics of controlled device, corresponding to first and second control modes; setting an array of coordinates of the pointer location, wherein coordinates of the last pointer location for the corresponding control mode are stored in the coordinate array when switching to the other control mode; setting formulas for calculating control commands; displaying control region; recording input device events; when recording an event, generating a control command for one of the control modes; sending control command to controlled device.

EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy and speed of device control, as well as automation of data processing input device.
