FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of liquefying a stream of contaminated gas containing hydrocarbons. Stream (20) contaminated with CO₂ gas containing hydrocarbons. Said stream of contaminated gas containing hydrocarbons is cooled to produce a partially liquefied stream (70). Said partially liquefied stream is separated to produce liquid stream (90). Fluid flow (90) is cooled in heat exchanger (200) with direct contact of media, thus obtaining multiphase flow (201) containing at least liquid phase and solid phase of CO₂. Separating said multiphase flow in separator (202) of solid and liquid phases to obtain stream (141) of liquid with low content of CO₂. Flow (141) of liquid with low content of CO₂ is passed through a cascade of additional cooling, reduction of pressure and separation, which creates additional stream (206) of suspension enriched with CO₂. At least a portion of said additional stream (206) of CO₂-rich suspension is passed through heat exchanger (200) with direct contact of media, thereby cooling liquid stream (90) and mixing therewith.

EFFECT: technical result is simplification of liquefaction process.
