SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a valve assembly and a method of forming a valve assembly, the valve assembly includes a valve body comprising a seat retainer chamber; float seat ring is arranged nearby seat saddle chamber inner side wall. Seat ring is made with possibility of contact with the first part of the valve plunger in one annular section, before the second part of the valve plunger comes into contact with the valve seat during closing stroke of the valve plunger. Plunger of the breechblock is in contact with the float ring of the seat essentially only when the gate is in the closed position; and static seal is located radially between seat ring and inner side wall of seat retainer chamber.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility to move valve plunger due to large valve pressure drops at minimum drive load; this unloading effect reduces the total cost of the valve, since less powerful drives can be used to control flow through the valve.
