FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in improving adaptive capacity for dental orthopedic prostheses in conditions of institutions involved in dental rehabilitation of patients with complete loss of teeth. Method comprises determining a patient's adaptive capacity level to detachable dental orthopedic prostheses before making a permanent prosthetic dental structure and performing a complex of exercises by the patient including an exercise, wherein patient first pulls tongue up at wide open mouth, then must spread tongue on hard palate and simultaneously from it to repel; an exercise consisting in imitating a swallowing movement, wherein a tongue tip is repelled from a rest point – an alveolar transition point into the palate behind the palatine folds; and an exercise simulating grinding of lips, in which the lips move along the front surface of the prosthesis in the up and down and right-to-left directions, or in the absence of prostheses, the lips are massaged with fingers, wherein the thumb is placed on the inner surface of the lip, the index finger is on the outer surface, and massaging movements are performed from one corner of the mouth to the opposite one. If observing a low level of adaptive capacity, the complex of exercises is performed every day for 10 minutes each exercise for 9 months, if observing a moderate level of adaptive capacity, the complex of exercises is performed every day for 5 minutes every exercise for 6 months, if observing a high level of adaptive capacity, the complex of exercises is performed every day for 2 minutes every exercise for 3 months.
EFFECT: method enables due to the implementation of an original set of exercises, the duration of which depends on the level of adaptive ability of the patient to removable prostheses, to increase the patient's adaptive ability to dental orthopedic removable dentures with complete loss of teeth.
