FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pyrotechnical composition for use in various devices using explosive conversion energy to create a thermal initiating pulse having a bursting action, in particular in pyrocartridges, pyro locks, safety-actuating mechanisms (PIM). Composition contains, in wt. %: potassium perchlorate 41–46, rhodanate lead 48–52 and lead chromic acid 3–7. In addition, tungsten carbide with average grain size of 17.50 mcm is added in amount of 10–20 wt. % over 100 %.
EFFECT: pyrotechnic composition has a strong thermal initiating pulse, which leads to increased bursting action of the composition.
