FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coatings forming a thermal barrier and used for heat insulation of metal parts in high-temperature environment. Coated part comprises a metal and/or intermetallic substrate and a protective coating which forms a thermal barrier and covers said substrate. Protective coating comprises first ceramic layer and second layer applied on first layer. Second layer contains predominant by weight first feldspar with melting point exceeding or equal to 1010 °C, has thickness (e2) exceeding or equal to 10 micron, and degree of crystallinity exceeding or equal to 5 %. Proposed method comprises forming said first ceramic layer and said second layer on first ceramic layer. Second layer contains predominant feldspar. Parts with said coating are used in oxidative medium at temperature exceeding 1000 °C, and in presence of calcium and magnesium aluminosilicates.

EFFECT: provided part with protective coating, which forms thermal barrier on its surface, which has a long service life in the environment and in operating conditions of aircraft gas turbine engine.
