FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of mortar, in particular to a composition for making fireproof mortar and use thereof for fire protection. Composition for making fireproof mortar is characterized by the following content of components: portland cement 35–55 wt. %, expanded vermiculite 15–50 wt. %, aluminium hydroxide 5–25 wt. %, polymer microspheres in amount of 1–5 wt. %. functional additives are balance. Composition for preparation of fireproof mortar can additionally contain basalt fibre in amount of 0.5–2 wt. %. Functional additives include a water-retaining additive and/or a plasticiser and/or redispersible organic polymer and/or an air-entraining additive and/or a foaming additive.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of fire resistance and reduction of power consumption during production of composition for preparation of fire-retardant solutions.
