SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-strength synthetic polymer materials. Described is polyarylene fiber containing 0.1–15 %, based on weight of fiber, aromatic compound or combination of aromatic compounds, where each aromatic compound contains an aromatic nucleus and at least one of substitutes A or B, where A is described by formula

where R1 and R2 are independently selected from alkanediyl containing 2 to 10 carbon atoms; where R3 and R4 are independently selected from -H, alkyl containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, homocycloalkyl containing from 3 to 10 carbon atoms, or heterocycloalkyl containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms; where R5 is selected from -H, alkyl containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, homocycloalkyl, containing from 3 to 10 carbon atoms, heterocycloalkyl containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and carbonyl (-C(=O)-), which forms phthalimido ring structure, which is condensed with aromatic nucleus. Also disclosed is a spinning solution and a method of producing polyarylene fiber.
EFFECT: improved hydrolytic stability, increased ultimate tensile strength and modulus of elasticity.
