FIELD: laboratory equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laboratory equipment intended for implementation of counter-current extraction in liquid-liquid system, and is intended for simulation in laboratory conditions of extraction processes, passing in aggressive media used in petrochemical, metallurgical and other industries. Multistage mixing-settling extractor for liquid-liquid systems comprises a housing including a number of cells, each of which has a prechamber, mixing chamber equipped with a turbine mixer, containing in its lower part a suction chamber having holes for injecting liquid into the mixer, settling chamber and overflow channels for transfer of solutions from step to step, housing is made of a monolithic piece of polypropylene or fluoroplastic, for intensification of the coalescence process between the mixing and settling chambers a pre-settling chamber is located, containing inside a multilayer grid of Teflon, to reduce the consumption of the extractant, the cross-section area of the settling chamber does not exceed the cross-section area of the mixing chamber.
EFFECT: eliminating the possibility of formation of leaks, reduction of the extractor dimensions with simultaneous increase in the efficiency of the mixing and settling stage, reduction of the phases time in the extractor and consumption of the extractant.
