FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing pyro-carbon based fertilizer involves taking 10 mg of potassium iodide, dissolving in 100 ml of distilled water, taking silica sol with weight concentration of silicon dioxide of 39–41 % and micelle size of not more than 6 nm, mixing with water at ratio of 1 part silica sol to 3 parts of water, mixing 100 ml of potassium iodide solution and 400 ml of silica sol solution, takes 1 kg of pyro-carbon and adds 500 ml of obtained aqueous solution of potassium iodide and silica sol, then pyro-carbon is granulated, then granules of pyro-carbon are held at 35 °C for 4 hours. Fertilizer based on pyro-carbon with silica sol, micelle size of which does not exceed 6 nm, which contains microelement iodine in concentration of 7.5 mcg/g with respect to pyro-carbon.

EFFECT: invention increases content of microelement of iodine in soil and plants, as well as improves quality of grain.
