FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to renewable energy sources and is intended for use in wind power engineering. Method implemented by means of device is based on optimal control of wing angle of each of tethered gliders in order to maximize generated electric power depending on wind speed, as well as on dynamic control of position of tethered gliders in space to ensure stability of movement of system. Proposed device comprises identical tethered gliders arranged at different heights and connected by ropes to each other and electric generator installed on ground platform. On each glider air balloons are arranged, gimbal unit connected to ground platform mechanisms equipped with converters of direction of rotation and cable length controllers. Gliders are equipped with a traditional system to control lifting force and position of glider in space, altimeters, air flow velocity sensors, telecommunication facilities. Besides, device can be arranged on truck or on floating craft and, consequently, it provides mobility to device on land and at sea.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of conversion of energy of wind and thermal flows and expansion of functional capabilities of device for conversion of wind energy.
