FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental aerodynamics and can be used to measure aerodynamic characteristics of models of wing compartments, mainly at subsonic speeds. Test bench includes aerodynamic pipe with exposed working part, suspension for model fixation to aerodynamic balances and flat end washers located at model ends parallel to axis of working part of aerodynamic pipe and perpendicular to span of model of wing compartment, wherein flat end washers are made with vertical, parallel side edges having dimensions extending beyond flow limits in working part of aerodynamic pipe, end washers are installed in fixtures located outside flow, and with gaps of model of wing compartment model, wherein clearance value does not exceed 0.5 % of chord model of wing compartment. Flat end washers have width of not less than 3 chords of investigated model of wing compartment.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of uniformity of flow at flow around models of wing compartments and higher accuracy and reliability of results.
