FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aviation equipment and designed to measure the aerodynamic forces and moments acting on the gliding parachute (GP) dome in the wind tunnel flow (WT) at various angles of attack and slip. Device is used as follows. After entering to the flow parachute model is fixed in the WT flow in the balancing position using the proposed device. Fixation quality is monitored by the strain-gage scales measurement readings and video filming processing data and, if necessary, is corrected. Parachute model movement in the flow and the steering lines lifting are performed by means of remotely controlled drives. During the tests, simultaneously with the aerodynamic loads measurement using the strain-gage scales, the parachute model video shooting is carried out with the help of located in the WT working part video cameras, which number is chosen so that each placed on the model surface marker can be seen from at least two cameras. At the end of the test program, the aerodynamic loads onto parachute measurements are correlated with its flow actual conditions (angles of attack and slip) obtained by the video data processing.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the experiment preparation and performance time, reducing errors in determining of the parachute aerodynamic characteristics, providing the possibility of carrying out tests of GP of various sizes, and also at the steering lines different positions, changing it during the experiment without the WT stopping.
