SUBSTANCE: loading device comprises a conveyor for transporting an agricultural crop, defining a transportation plane and including an outlet defining a loading direction, which is direction of fall of agricultural crop in said outlet. Device further comprises a scanning device configured to scan an agricultural crop surface located under the conveyor outlet, and a holder, by means of which the scanning device is installed on the conveyor with the possibility of movement along the specified trajectory relative to this conveyor. Method comprises steps of transporting an agricultural crop by means of a conveyor, unloading the transported crop through the outlet, scanner is used to scan an agricultural pile surface in a receiving container and/or a receiving container surface to move the conveyor relative to the receiving container depending on the information received from the scanning device.
EFFECT: simplified loading for operator.
