FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry, in particular, to rock cutting elements (hereinafter – RCE) of cutting and cutting-chipping type, which is used mainly for reinforcement of bladed bits, and also crowns. RCE is equipped with main and auxiliary cutting edges, made in form of hard-alloy plate with thickness, maximum at the level of auxiliary cutting edge and minimum at the level of opposite edge of plate. Angle between main and minor cutting edges does not exceed 90°, and front surface is limited by contour, in which the auxiliary cutting edge is the only rectilinear section or the longest of the remaining straight sections forming it. Contour of front surface has versions adapting RCE to various operating conditions.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of power consumption of destruction of bottomhole, reduced specific consumption of hard alloy.
