FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solar power engineering (solar power engineering) and is intended for automatic orientation of a battery of solar panels in position relative to the Sun with maximum possible power output. Device for orientation of solar batteries comprises a movable frame on which solar batteries are installed, equipped with a frame turning system, as well as an automatic control system comprising electromechanical drives, a microcontroller-based control unit and a feedback module. Frame turning system is made in form of vertical shaft, on which frame is installed, and horizontal shaft installed between frame and vertical shaft. Shafts are installed with possibility of rotation around axis and driven by electromechanical drives made in the form of DC motors with step-down reduction gear. Feedback module comprises voltage and current sensors connected to solar battery output, as well as position sensors of vertical and horizontal shafts and connected to central microcontroller, which by means of voltage and current sensors determines value of power generated by solar battery, determines position of solar battery with maximum output power and issues command to turn solar battery through power module containing transistor or relay switches, which include electric motors of vertical and horizontal shafts.
EFFECT: technical result of invention consists in improvement of energy efficiency of solar battery operation by its orientation to position with maximum power output, with reduction of power consumption for orientation.
