FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to veterinary science, in particular to orthopedic dentistry, and is intended for use in upper canine replacement by tabs. Animal's canine prosthesis contains a root and crown parts made as a single part. Coronal part is anatomically identical to the shape of a healthy canine. Root part is made in the form of a metal rod corresponding to the shape and size of the canine root canal located at an acute angle to the anterior surface of the jaw bone. Length of the root portion of the prosthesis to be immersed in the bore of the canine root canal is less than the entire length of the canine canal. In the crown part of the prosthesis, a recess is formed to shape a projection on the whittled part of the canine. Prosthesis is made by casting. Outer surface of prosthesis is ground. To install a canine prosthesis, an endodontal preparation of the canine is carried out, an impression is made, a prosthesis is made from the impression. Canine is whittled, the canine canal is bored at an acute angle to the anterior surface of the jaw bone at a depth less than the entire length of the canine canal, the root portion of the prosthesis is directly inserted into canine canal. Check prosthesis closure with antagonist teeth and the prosthesis is fixed on a canine. Prosthesis in the canal and on the whittle of the canine is fixed with dental cement. On whittled part of canine lug is made, and in crown part of prosthesis groove is formed for it.

EFFECT: inventions enable to completely restore functions of partially destructed teeth, as well as higher reliability and durability of the prosthesis.
