SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for prospecting and exploration of diamond deposits and can be used in searching for diamond-bearing kimberlite pipes and their clusters. According to the disclosed method when investigating kimberlite areas potentially promising for diamond kimberlite pipes, conformity of the results of the conducted studies to a set of criteria is established, and the following complex anomalies are identified, spatially conjugated to each other: neutron flux positive anomaly determined by free neutrons recording method; size of abnormality coincides with projection of tube area on surface, positive abnormality is contour of annular anomaly with reduced negative intensity relative to background; positive complex annular geochemical anomaly of content of mobile forms of metals. Anomaly is related to the light and heavy rare-earth elements (La, Ce, Nd, Sm, Eu, Y, Gd, Dy, Ho, Yb, Lu), Li-Rb-Be, Cu and K outside the tube area with minimum values above the tube, determined by geoelectrochemical methods (TMGM). Position of the complex geoelectrochemical anomaly coincides with the characteristic annular minimum of the neutron field.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of prospecting for diamonds in kimberlite pipes.
