FIELD: drilling of wells.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of making a cone rolling cutter for a drill bit and a drill bit. Method of conical rolling cutter for drill bit production includes: selective carburizing of working surface of crowns of cone rolling cutter between multiple spots on working surface of rims for protection against erosion; after carbonisation, sockets are made in conical rolling cutter on spots and cermet inserts are fixed in sockets.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of erosion resistance.
