SUBSTANCE: invention relates to profile element (5) for installation and retention of window glass in a window opening of a vehicle body, in particular a public transport vehicle. Profile element (5) comprises recess (10) for installation of window glass and slot (12) provided in main element (7) of shaped element (5) and intended for possible installation of resilient element (8) of shaped element (5). At that, groove (12) and elastic element (8) are made so that during installation of resilient element (8) into slot (12) window glass made with possibility of fixation in recess (10) could be clamped in recess (10). Besides, profile element (5) comprises extra element (9) made separately from main element (7) and attached to main element (7) by means of detachable connection. According to invention, recess (10) is formed, on one side, by first receiving section (13) formed by main element (7) and, on the other side, by second receiving section (29) formed by additional element (9).
EFFECT: disclosed is a profile element for installation and retention of window glass and window system.
