FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to flight of manned reusable spacecraft (MRS) between orbital station (OS) in orbit around planet with atmosphere (Earth) and base station (BS) on surface of other celestial body (Moon). Method involves MRS decoupling from the OS, putting a module with space tugs (MST) on the reference orbit, approaching and joining the MRS with the MST and then traveling with MST to an orbit, for example around the Moon. From this orbit MRS performs descent and landing (without MST) to BS area. For take-off, MRS is refueled from refueling module preliminary delivered to BS area. After takeoff and docking with MST in orbit, MRS is refilled with MST fuel residues. Departure to Earth at the date of ingress into OS orbital plane is performed so that perigee is equal to height of OS orbit. In perigee performs pulse to transfer MRS to high-elliptical orbit, on which MRS is connected with preliminarily brought there braking unit (BU), which convert MRS into circular orbit of OS. MRS is refueled from BU for subsequent flights as described above, undocked from BU and docked with OS.
EFFECT: crew is able to transport crew using MRS between near-Earth OS and BS without use of super-heavy carrier rockets and aerodynamic braking.
