FIELD: soil or rock drilling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coal industry, particularly, to cutting tools of drilling machines equipped with mechanically fastened hard-alloy plates. Cutting plate of drilling cutter consists of plate body, rear face and blade with constant sharpening angle. Rear face of plate is made on surface, providing for change of rear angle γ_i for each point of the blade of the plate in accordance with a defined mathematical expression, wherein rear angle value γ_i depends on cutter specific feed value h per one revolution, radius r_i of removal of appropriate blade point from cutter rotational axis and angle Δα between rear edge of plate and trajectory of corresponding point of blade, which value is in range from 5 to 10°.

EFFECT: providing process of free cutting of rock along whole length of blade of plate due to exclusion of contact of rear face of plate with destructed rock.
